Contract Field Teams (CFT) is a U.S. Air Force ID/IQ contract vehicle, open to any all military branches. The USAF IDIQ contract was established in the 1950s and is managed out of Tinker Air Force Base. It is designed to provide rapid, world-wide deployments of contractor support.

The CFT Program Management Office is responsible for supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies’ war readiness and posture planning needs by providing flexible deployments of skilled field technicians to resolve on-site issues anywhere in the world. CFT’s provide maintenance, repair, modifications, and logistical services in support of aircraft and ground support for aircraft worldwide.

Vertex Aerospace has been a Prime since 1993 on three consecutive Basic CFT contracts. Our primary competitors historically have been Dyncorp International and URS (formerly Lear Siegler). Our core business on this contract vehicle has been in U.S. Navy Fleet Replacement Squadrons, U.S. Army Rotary Wing Maintenance Operations, U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Maintenance Operations, and U.S. Army Southwest Asia OEF and OIF Phase Maintenance Operations.

Scope: CFT contracts’ scope are to provide rapid deployment capability to field supplemental skilled technicians for modification, repair, or Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level maintenance services on DoD weapon systems on-site anywhere in the world
